About This Role

We're looking for an innovative CMO to build CoffeeGrab into New Zealand's most loved coffee brand and lead our expansion across Australia and the UK. You'll craft our brand story, drive user acquisition, and create marketing magic that turns coffee lovers into CoffeeGrab evangelists. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll build our marketing function from the ground up, working directly with founders to position CoffeeGrab as the essential coffee app. You'll own everything from performance marketing to brand campaigns, partnership strategies to viral growth mechanics.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives app downloads, user retention, and order frequency across multiple markets
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team across brand, performance marketing, content, and partnerships
  • Own user acquisition across all channels including paid social, search, influencer partnerships, and guerrilla marketing campaigns
  • Create compelling brand narratives and campaigns that resonate with coffee lovers, turning CoffeeGrab into a cultural phenomenon
  • Implement sophisticated analytics and attribution systems to measure CAC, LTV, and optimise marketing spend across channels
  • Develop partnership strategies with cafes, brands, and events that drive awareness and create win-win growth opportunities
  • Lead product marketing for new feature launches, market expansions, and cafe partner acquisition
  • Build community and advocacy programmes that turn satisfied users into vocal champions who drive organic growth
  • What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of marketing experience with at least 3 years in senior leadership roles at consumer tech companies
  • Proven track record scaling consumer apps from 10K to 100K+ users with strong metrics around CAC, retention, and LTV
  • Deep expertise in performance marketing across Meta, Google, TikTok with hands-on experience optimising campaigns
  • Experience building brands in competitive markets, creating differentiation through positioning, storytelling, and creative excellence
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in marketing analytics, attribution modelling, and data-driven decision making
  • Understanding of viral growth mechanics, referral programmes, and community building in the mobile app space
  • Experience in multi-market expansion and localisation strategies, ideally in Australia/UK markets
  • Startup mindset - comfortable being hands-on, moving fast, and building marketing infrastructure from scratch
  • Compensation

    $140,000+ NZD
