About This Role

We're looking for a sharp Data Analyst to unlock insights from millions of coffee orders and help us build the smartest coffee platform in the market. You'll analyse user behaviour, order patterns, and cafe performance to drive product decisions and create new revenue opportunities. This is a high-impact role where your analysis will directly influence product features, marketing strategies, and partner relationships. You'll work with massive datasets from our Firebase backend, building dashboards and predictive models that help us understand everything from peak ordering times to user lifetime value.

What You'll Do

  • Analyse order data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for growth including user segmentation and cohort analysis
  • Build comprehensive dashboards and reporting systems that track KPIs across user acquisition, retention, order frequency, and revenue
  • Develop predictive models for user churn, order volume forecasting, and demand prediction to optimise cafe partner operations
  • Create data products that monetise our insights, including cafe performance reports, market trends, and competitive intelligence
  • Partner with product team to design and analyse A/B tests, measuring feature impact on user behaviour and business metrics
  • Implement attribution modelling to understand marketing effectiveness and optimise CAC across channels
  • Design recommendation algorithms for personalised cafe suggestions, optimised routing, and targeted promotions
  • Work with engineering to ensure proper event tracking, data quality, and establish a robust analytics infrastructure
  • What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of data analysis experience, ideally in marketplaces, e-commerce, or consumer apps with high transaction volumes
  • Strong SQL skills with experience querying large datasets and optimising complex queries for performance
  • Proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis, data visualisation, and building predictive models
  • Experience with analytics tools including Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, and BI platforms (Looker, Tableau, or similar)
  • Understanding of mobile app metrics including retention curves, cohort analysis, and user lifetime value calculations
  • Track record of translating complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions
  • Experience with real-time analytics and building dashboards that support operational decision making
  • Knowledge of data monetisation strategies and experience creating data products or insights for B2B customers
  • Compensation

    $100,000 - $125,000 NZD
    Plus equity package
